Course Description: This course aims to enable students to understand the importance of economic management of enterprises for their survival and growth. It covers topics such as:
Unit 1: Concept of the Enterprise
Unit 2: Origin and Evolution of the Enterprise
Unit 3: The Enterprise and its Internal Environment
Unit 4: The Enterprise and its External Environment
Unit 5: Classifications of Enterprises
Unit 6: Structures and Organization of the Enterprise
Unit 7: Functions and Resources of the Enterprise
Unit 8: Tools for Economic Analysis of the Enterprise
Unit 9: Life Cycle and Growth Patterns of the Enterprise
Main Learning Objectives:
- Understand the nature, characteristics, roles and objectives of enterprises

- Understand enterprises as economic agents
- Master tools for economic analysis of enterprises
- Identify factors contributing to enterprise growth

The syllabus provides a weekly breakdown of lecture topics, recommended readings, and guidelines for personal work and assignments. The course uses a combination of lectures, case studies, and interactive online elements through the Moodle platform.
