A

Autonomy

Freedom from external control or influence; independence.

Causality

The relationship between cause and effect. The principle that everything has a cause.



Cognitive

Of, relating to, being, or involving conscious intellectual activity (such as thinking, reasoning, or remembering) cognitive impairment. 

2 : based on or capable of being reduced to empirical factual knowledge.


D

Deficiency

A lack or shortage.


E

Epistemology

The theory of knowledge, especially with regard to its methods, validity, and scope, and the distinction between justified belief and opinion.


I

Incentive

A thing that motivates or encourages someone to do something.


Intrinsic

Belonging naturally; essential.


Inventory

A complete list of items such as property, goods in stock, or the contents of a building.


L

Locus

A particular position or place where something occurs or is situated.


M

Monitor

A person who observes a process or activity to check that it is carried out fairly or correctly, especially in an official capacity.
