    50% of the evaluation is devoted to tests, homework, tasks and group work (continuous evaluation). 50% is for final exam

    The course aims to

    •  Develop university students’ skills and strategies in order to carry out university studies in an effective way.
    •  Help students develop strategies for autonomous learning.
    • Enable students to deal with difficulties encountered when learning.
    • Help learners develop the habit of reflective learning to reflect on their learning experiences.
    • Help students to become critical thinkers.
    • Broaden the students’ knowledge of the research process and research paper writing.

    Prerequisite of the Course:

    •  An overview of note-taking.
    •  A thorough examination of presentation.
    •  Introducing strategies for exam revision.
    • Self, time and task management skills.

    Language learners can use memory, metacognitive, affective, cognitive, social, and
    compensation strategies to enhance their language learning. These strategies also enable them to
    become more independent, autonomous, and lifelong learners. Additionally, successful learners
    use some strategies according to specific tasks, context, or different needs. That is to say, active
    learners consciously choose strategies that fit their needs, or their L2 tasks.

  • Reflective Learning

    Reflection plays an important role in the field of education. It is an active and aware process that can occur anytime and anywhere. It functions to help us, or our students, to recapture, relive, make sense of, think about, contextualize and evaluate an experience in order to make decisions and choices about what we have experienced, how we have experienced, and what we will or will not do next
