The Objectives
The objectives of this course are multifaceted and aim to provide students with a comprehensive understanding and practical skills in computer science. Here are the main objectives:
Acquire Basic Knowledge in Computer Science: Introduce students to fundamental concepts of computer science, such as operating systems, software, and basic programming languages.
Develop Skills in Using Computer Tools: Learn to effectively use common computer tools, such as office suites (e.g., Microsoft Office) and data management software.
Understand the Importance of Computer Science in Earth and Universe Sciences: Illustrate how information technology is applied in the field of geography and spatial planning, particularly through the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Prepare Students for Data Research and Analysis: Train students to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret computer data, enabling them to conduct effective research and make informed decisions.
Develop Problem-Solving Skills: Equip students to identify common computer-related problems and design appropriate solutions using problem-solving methodologies.
Encourage Collaboration and Teamwork: Promote collaborative work and knowledge exchange among students through group projects and presentations.
