Teaching objectives
The student will be able to understand the nature of a problem (static, kinematic or dynamic) in the mechanics of solids, and will have the tools to solve the problem within the classical mechanics context. This course is a prerequisite for the subjects: resistance of materials and analytical mechanics.
Recommended prior knowledge
The student must first assimilate the subject of physics 1, which deals with the mechanics of the point. In addition, the subject of mathematics 2 includes essential tools.
