Welcome to the “Documentary Research and Thesis Design (RDCM)” course, primarily designed for Master 2 students in Mechanical Engineering, including the Mechanical Design, Industrial Maintenance, and Energy Engineering options.
This course guides students through the main stages of preparing and writing a Master’s thesis or final-year project, providing them with the essential tools and methods to:
- search for and select reliable and relevant scientific sources;
- organize, analyze, and effectively use scientific information;
- structure and write a Master’s thesis or scientific report according to academic standards;
- apply appropriate formatting, typography, referencing, and citation rules;
- understand plagiarism and learn how to avoid it in academic writing.
The main objective of this course is to help students develop a systematic, independent, and rigorous research approach, enabling them to produce a clear, well-structured, and scientifically sound academic work.
