Pre-requisites : Mastery of the English Language.
Lecture Description:
This lecture is the basis of the future courses of literature that the
student will be exposed to throughout his/her study of this language in
the "English Department" . It will acquaint him / her with “drama” as
one of the three main literary genres . Thus , a considerable number of
dramatic texts is chosen to do so.
Lecture Objectives:
•By the end of the lecture, the student will be able to know the basic characteristics /elements of drama.
• The student will learn also how to approach a text of drama.
• Performing a formal analysis is the fundamental outcome of the lecture.
