Course Goals:

Understand and use basic everyday expressions and very simple phrases.
Introduce yourself and others, and ask/answer simple personal questions (name, age, nationality, etc.).
Communicate in a very limited way when the other person speaks slowly and clearly.
Develop basic listening skills to understand familiar words and simple instructions.
Read very short texts, signs, and simple messages.
Write simple sentences and short forms (basic personal information).
Build essential vocabulary related to daily life: family, food, numbers, colors, time, routines.
Use basic grammar structures: verb “to be,” present simple, simple questions, pronouns, articles.
Target public:
Oum ElBouaghi University Teachers from different faculties, institutes, and departments.
Prerequisites:
Little or no prior knowledge of English is acceptable.
Ability to recognize and use the English alphabet.
Willingness to learn basic vocabulary and simple phrases.
Motivation to practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing at a beginner level.
Course Outline:

Skills: Listening, speaking, reading, and writing basic English.
Grammar: Verb “to be,” present simple, pronouns, articles, simple questions and negatives.
Vocabulary: Greetings, numbers, colors, family, daily routines, food, and places.
Communication: Simple dialogues, introductions, asking/answering questions, role-plays.
Assessment: Short quizzes, speaking practice, writing exercises, and a final test.

60% Exam and 40% TD mark
