Name of the module: Pedagogy of Sports Training.

Introduction to the module: This module introduces second-year sport training students to the educational principles that guide effective coaching and athlete development. It explores the historical evolution of pedagogy from traditional instruction to modern, science-based methods that integrate physical, psychological, and social learning. Students learn how pedagogical theory applies to sports—how athletes acquire skills, how training loads (volume, intensity, density, frequency) are structured, and how motivation, feedback, and communication enhance learning. The module emphasizes cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and social aspects of training, aiming to develop coaches who can design balanced, individualized, and educationally sound training programs that foster both performance and personal growth.
