Objective: 

Develop the reading, writing, listening and speaking abilities of the students. 

We live in a world where learning English as a second language is essential. Not only for professional growth, but a second language brings possibilities to get to know a new culture. However, Learning English is much more than simply memorizing the translation of words into your language. This implies a total understanding of the language structure. The language is always rooted in the culture from which it comes. Therefore, you do not expect to be able to learn English without having adopted certain criteria and thoughts of the new culture in question. 

Contents: 

The English program consists of a set of texts containing scientific and technical parts. Selected texts used to study scientific and technical English and grammar acquisition. The selected texts chosen according to the accumulated vocabulary, familiarization with scientific and technical questions in English for a better understanding. Therefore, each text will be defined by a set of vocabulary concepts, a set of special sentences (idioms) and comprehension questions. The texts also contain terminology which means the translation of a few words from English to French. In addition, the activity at the end of each session must include a translation of long statements which are selected from the texts.

Le métier de base de l'ingénieur consiste à résoudre des problèmes de nature technologique, concrets et souvent complexes, liés à la conception, à la réalisation et à la mise en œuvre de produits, de systèmes ou de services. Cette aptitude résulte d'un ensemble de connaissances techniques d'une part, économique, social et humain d'autre part, reposant sur une solide culture scientifique. Le but de ce cours est de faire découvrir aux étudiants de 1^ère année ST les différentes filières et métiers ainsi leurs secteurs d’activités dans le domaine professionnel.

Dans votre vie arrivera sûrement le jour où vous devrez présenter un exposé devant un groupe de personnes.  C’est le cas de la dernière année de votre parcours universitaire, vous devez réaliser un Mémoire que vous devez le présenter devant un public. La préparation de votre exposé est la clef de votre réussite, c’est le but de ce cours.
